The Key Ensemble will appear at the Naantali Music Festival again. This year the choir will be seen at the opening concert of the festival, whose program has traditionally consisted of compositions with opus numbers according to the festival’s serial number. This year’s festival is already 41st.
There are several classical choral works with this opus number, but this time Felix Mendelssohn’s Six Choral Songs were selected for the concert program. Besides, Luigi Boccherini’s String Quartet in E Major and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Piano Quartet in B Major, as well as Jean Sibelius’s ‘Kyllikki’ Suite for piano, will be heard on the program.
All the artists at the concert are familiar visitors to the festival. The Key Ensemble will be conducted by Teemu Honkanen.
