Ave Maria – Aurora Borealis

The jubilee concert of the newly restored Parainen church on March 24th, 2012, had a very special theme (because of its proximity to the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the equinox): Virgin Mary, bathing in the Northern light (lux aeterna).

This theme was inspired by the first performance of a Maria Suite, a novel a cappella choral work composed by Mikko Heiniö. The concert was broadcast by YLE Radio 1.
