Missa Baltica – Ode to the Baltic Sea

In an unconventional Mother’s Day Concert, Key Ensemble presented a wide selection of a cappella choir music by the 85-year-old Einojuhani Rautavaara.

The soloists were Maikki Säikkä, soprano, Anu Honkanen, flute, and Anna Torkkel, dance.
The concert was conducted by Teemu Honkanen.

Lakeuden Risti Church, Seinäjoki

Key Ensemble visited the Lakeuden Risti church in Seinäjoki on Easter Monday to perform at the Seinäjoki parish’s 150th anniversary concert. The choir performed Serge Rahmaninov’s Vigilia, which has become something of a trademark for the choir’s sound during many concerts in Finland.

Mezzo soprano Kristina Raudanen and tenor Mats Lillhannus performed the solos, and the concert was conducted by Teemu Honkanen.
